Over the past couple of months, my eyes have gotten all red, itchy, & burning, with lots of eye matter. It is the exact symptoms of pink eye. It looks just like pink eye. I will mention that I had just bought more contacts from Sam's. (I have been wearing contacts for over 2 years with no - not any - problems). It happened after wearing a new pair of contacts for about three days. And it took over 7 days to clear up. Coincidence? I don't know. So I finished my 10-day medication, waited until 2 weeks were up, then opened a new pack of contacts (also from Sam's). After using the new contacts for about three days, my eyes are doing the same thing again. The only difference is that the last time my eyes just kept doing worse & worse. This time they are going back and forth, they look really bad then they clear up and just look mildly bloodshot. I don't have any problems with the contacts other than the coincidence that this keeps happening after I wear them. They fit fine, they feel fine! Is it possible this could be allergies?? The weather here has been staying wet and cool, that's bad weather for my allergies. I don't know who to go see, my eye doctor or my physician!! Has anyone had any symptoms like this before? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have never had that experience, but I can just tell you that primary care physicians do not have the knowledge to treat eye problems. Go see an ophthalmologist.
