Hello everyone, i have never visited this board before and i just found it on a google search, but i have a situation that i cant find any information about that happened to me recently. I was working out and doing squats the other day, and on my last rep last set i really pushed HARD and as soon as i put the weight down my head was hurting unbelievably! For the next 2 hours i had to lay down and my head hurt from the back of my neck at the base, all the way around my temples and on top of my eyes. It was sort of thumping like a toothache does. Well, 3 days later and ANYTIME i raise me heart rate this thumping in my head starts immediately. It is pretty severe, and happens 100% of the time, as soon as the heart rate increases, the thumping starts, the higher the increase in heart rate and the harder and worse it thumps. And it is my whole head, above my eyes, on each temple, and on the back of my head.

Does anyone have any clue what might have happened? And should i be worried or visit docs immediately? I appreciate any response at all. Thansk in advance! :)

I would see your doctor, you could be experiencing cranial pressure brought on by the intense weightlifting. Working your body extremely hard pumps blood faster in the body, and constricts the blood vessels, thus leading to the throbbing migraines type headaches. Do get it checked out.

^Ok, i will do that. I have to go to training for work for a week, is this something you think is an emergency? Or can i wait a week or so and then go to the docs? I just dont want to wait if there could be something seriously wrong...Thanks so much for your reply. :)

I am not a Doctor, but No I dont think its a medical crisis, I would put off with the weightlifting though until you see a doctor, do call and make an appointment, tell the nurse, and see what she says about the training week, I think it will be fine, as long as you stay away from the vigorous exercise that causes the intense throbbing, until its checked out.
