Hi. I am 35 & have had JRA since I was 2. I live in England so the terminology may be slightly different. Here JRA has also been known as JIA,JCA & stills disease.

Myself & my boyfriend would like to have a child so are currently researching this in terms of medication, health while pregnant, possible flare up after birth & caring for a baby i.e. lifting etc.

I have had 4 hip replacements & will probably need a knee replacement soon. I have spoken to my orthopaedic surgeon who can't see a problem (although I would obviously need a caesarean) & my rheumatologist thinks I'll be able to manage!

I have spoken to a couple of people with RA which has been really useful but I think JRA is quite specific & I would be grateful to hear from anyone else in a similar situation.
