Is anyone on Restasis out there and had good luck with reduction in dry eye?? Love to hear your stories........

Hi Amy, I have been using it for about 2 months. I have noticed some improvement. I don't use artificial tears quite as much. I would say I have noticed between 10-20% improvement. Not as much as I would like. I have not had any problems with restasis "burning" my eye as some people have. I am going to stick with it because any improvement is a big deal to me.

Thanks Michelle. I'm glad you are getting "some" relief even if it is minimal.

I was perscribed Restasis about 3 weeks ago and so far the results are very, very encouraging. I still use drops upon wakening and sometimes I still need ointment before bedtime BUT nothing like it was before I started using Restasis, it's great!!!! I was told to keep it in the refridgerator so it wouldn't sting upon instilling it in my eyes...The coolness is most welcome...and it doesn't sting at all.

Before I started using this I was afraid to open my eyes in the morning, when I did they looked terrible, red rimmed, bloodshot and oh so dry and they hurt so bad. I'm really hoping that recurrent corneal tearing will be a thing of the past with this treatment. However if not it's still very nice to have some relief of dry eyes at long last.

I am very happy with the Restasis treatment.. :bouncing:
