I want to learn how to french braid my own hair, but I can't even do a regular brain on myself. Does anyone know of any tips or gadgets that make it easier?

hey, French braiding is not hard at all. I use to have a friend do mine all the time and then i started playing around with hers and got the hang of it. First thing is to start at the front of your hair and divide into 3 sections, one on side, one at top, and one on other side,,,after you section off,,can hold them apart by simply using big hair clips then just start either on the left or right side,,,pull whichever side over top of middle section and hold it,,,with other hand take the other side and put it over the side you just put over middle..then go back over to other side get a little more hair and put it again on the hair that is in the middle,,just keep getting hair from each side piece by piece,,practice on someone else and you will get the hang of it enough to do your own it really isn't that hard once you get the concept.
