Im 6,2 about 225 ponuds and am woundering how many lbs. i need to lose i think i have to get to at least 200. Also i am going to start to run between 1-2 miles a day and do about 50 pushups and 150 sittups to start is that a good way to lose my extra pounds fast? :confused:

push-ups and sit-ups will tone but they wont help lose weight. i think running is a good idea. i do so myself 3-5 miles a day.

That's right, push-ups/situps don't burn fat. I also run daily, always @ night, sometimes I squeeze in another in the morning... I think that's the best way to burn fat :D

Your best bet for weight loss is cardio. If you are just starting out, be carefull not to over do. If you over do in the beginning you are more likley to hurt yourself and quit. Good luck.
