hi, i'm rehydrating after riding my exercise bike 1 hour and 31 minutes. i started eating ground flax seed[1/2 cup] on june 21, 2004. since then my average ride on the bike has increased from 45 minutes to 60 or longer. i often ride 70 to 75 minutes. my best pre-flax was one hour. i felt tired the next day. after flax, my best ride before today was 90 minutes. i felt tired the next day. that was two weeks ago. we'll see how i feel tomorrow. i love this flax. high omega 3 efa content. i'm 48. i'm currently doing more aerobic exercise than at any time previously. before flax i thought a 45 minute ride was excellent. after flax 45 min got to be too easy. seriously. i've also started lifting weights again. i haven't done that in over 7 years. the flax effect is amazing. i now realize i have been severely deficient in omega 3 efas all my life. i ride the bike five or six times a week depending on my work schedule. i feel great. since i got on flax and started exercising more i have stopped all antidepressant, anti-anxiety, allergy and asthma meds. no more itchy scalp or dandruff flakes. no more feeling colder than other people[a very serious problem for over ten years] my sex drive and performance has improved noticeably. this stuff is great for me. the only prob i have it hasn't helped is acid reflux. only drawbacks i've heard about is it will thin your blood a lot so if you take a daily aspirin or blood thinner like coumadin, check with your doctor. as your flax consumption increases your aspirin intake should be reduced, over a half cup a day can affect iodine absorption absorption if you have a thyroid prob, cooking it is supposed to eliminate this prob. i boil 2 cups water, add 1 cup rolled and 1/2 cup ground flax seeds, cook on med heat about 10 mins. that's what works for me, that's what i reccommend. good luck
