For the past five months, I have had diarreha almost every single day. It usually only happens in the morning, and usually I only go once a day but the stools are loose and watery. I have also had occassions where just mucous comes out. I have been to my family dr. and he said it may be IBS but symptoms usually come and go, not stay for five months straight. He thought maybe LI, but I have been on Lactaid and although for a week I thought my symptoms were getting better, now they are back to "normal" I think my next step is to see a specialist....my question is....can you have IBS if you have diarreha every day? After reading some of your posts, I am going to try Metamucil. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Forgot to mention I have tons of gas at night and in the morning!! It rumbles around my stomach and then explodes out of me in the morning.

As your dr for the blood test for celiac disease/celiac sprue. There IS a good blood test. Sounds more like CD than IBS.
