hey you said something about hyscomanine tabs or something like that for pain.. you dissolve one or two under the tongue..... well i take tofranil(anti-dep.) as well as donnatal (anti-spas)..... what exactly is this... b/c one of my primary complaints w/ my particular situation has been "pain"...... i'm interested to find out how you recieved this script, and what exactly they do for you... as I may ask my gastro about them to see if hes willing to try it if these meds don't work..

:wave: Hello there! It was one of the first meds. my doctor prescribed. I took the hyoscamine that they prescribe for daily use, and they didnt help anything. I take the sublingual kind if I have the very painful spasms with the D. They do work well for those, but they dont stop the D, so thats why I take the digest ad. and the calcium. I also take the anti D pills if I have an attack, but like I said its been a while since I needed those. Hope this helps, catlover

HYOSCAMINE (LEVSIN)
Purpose of medication and method of action: Hyoscamine is an antispasmotic when taken either orally or under the tongue reduces gastric motility, gastrointestinal tone (spasms), bladder spasms and intestinal hypermotility which results in diarhhea. It acts by blocking the effects of acetylcholine, the body chemical which increases gastrointestinal and bladder tone and which in excess can produce spasms.
