Does anyone know if antibiotics can trigger an outbreak? I've been getting monthly outbreaks since feb but they got less severe every time and I went through 6 weeks without an outbreak until a day ago. I took some antibiotics for an infection(which is now gone) and two days later I got a very big blister.. bigger than the one I had on my first outbreak. I have a feeling that these antibiotics had something to do with it because my outbreaks were getting very mild and then all of a sudden I get hit with a big one. I know my outbreaks are related to hormones so I think the antibiotics threw my hormones off balance or possibly weakened my immune system for a bit. Has this happened to anyone else? BTW, the garlic oil works wonders.

I have read that antibiotics weaken your immune system, which is why i don't take them just because a dr wants me to. Usually I can cure myself, once I know what I have, with natural remedies and herbs that strengthen my immune system.

Yea for garlic oil! Glad it helped you, as it has helped me!
