about 2-3 weeks ago, i noticed a VERY itchy red spot on the side on my penis, right below the head. I figured it was a mosquito bite that somehow got down there and waited for it to go away. At times, i also noticed that the spot was inflamed and became bigger.

after about a week and a half of this, I now have several red spots on my testicles and they are EXTREMEMLY itchy. I researched herpes in the strongest hopes I don't have it and read that itching was one of the symptoms. They don't hurt, just itch, and none of them have become sores. I also have been itchy on my thighs and arms lately and also on my lower stomach.

I'm PETRIFIED to even think of going to the doctor, so I'm not planning on going anytime soon unless I get further symptoms. I'm only 18 and have not come in contact with anyone that I know to have herpes.
PLEASE help me! How can I know for sure what it is??

p.s. I thought maybe jock itch but I have no scaly or dry skin..

You really just should go to a doctor. Why are you petrified? Part of good physical health is being responsible. If you sexually active, then you owe it to yourself and to the person that you were with to find out what's up. Truly, you wouldn't want to pass anything onto someone else, now that you are aware of symptoms.

If are too nervous about going to see your regular doctor, call your local Planned Parenthood chapter (they do see men) or call a urologist.

If you have something other than GH that may need some treatment, it would be good to have it looked at so you can get the care (if any) that you need.

Yep, I agree with whitesneakers. Believe me you'll feel much better when you get checked. It's like a big weight lifted off your shoulders afterwards whether you have it or not.
Who knows, maybe you don't have it and it'll just be irritation that a cream or ointment from the doctor will take care of.

Good Luck.

I found out through a friend that the county offers free anonymous blood work...and even will give free Hepatitus shots...check your local county's health dept. out.

Hope this helps!
