I just got your reply to my post and its encouraging to hear im not the only one. The reason why im writing this post is because your online right now and i dont know of any other way to contact people on here. anyways i read that you went to your ob/gyn and he was the one who diagnosed you with ibs?? How did he know and why did you go to him? The reason why im asking is im going to my first ob/gyn in oct. to see if i hav endometriosis- i guess im just trying to rule out all the possibilities before i accept that its ibs, but even then im not sure if i could accept having ibs. I hope you get this before you sign off!- forgiven77

Sorry I wasn't checking the board to see your post!! Anyway, I should explain why my Ob-Gyn was the one who said I had IBS. He originally specialized in general medicine. He had a general background, so he knew most of the symptoms of IBS and when I told him he said I most likely wouldn't need to waste money on expensive tests for them to tell me I have it (I don't have health insurance now). So, I've never visited a Gastro-doc. I maybe should though, if you read my posts! [ removed ] Anyway, it might not hurt to mention your symptoms to your ob-gyn especially if they worsen around your time of the month...
