Hi everyone, I am a 21 old male and I just had sinus and deviated septum surgery Monday. It went pretty well. Not too much pain or anything and I have been just resting. I still have these stints up my nose and don't get them out until Tuesday. They have been bugging the crap out of me and I can't wait for the doctor to remove them. My question for anyone that had the surgery is that when you get these stints out do you immediately notice a complete difference and are able to breath better? Also does it hurt to have them removed? I was just wondering because even after my surgery I have not noticed a complete difference in my breathing. Thanks for any feedback, Matt.

You will breathe MUCH better when the splints are out. I had septum surgery in March, and my breathing is 10 times better. I still have some inflammation, mostly due to allergies, but I don't regret having the procedure done.

I had my splints out last Monday, my breathing is better but I'm still having
some pain between my eyes 7 days later is all your pain gone already?

I had very little pain after surgery. 2 days afterwards, I had no pain at all.
Is there pressure as well? You may want to go back to your ENT and have him check things out. Scar tissue could be causing a blockage.
