Can anyone tell me the effects of coming off Citalopram... ? I have been on it for 5 years and have recently had the medication increased to the maximum 60mg. My depression has not lifted and the doc has told me to take Zispin... anyone else tried Zispin? I really want it to work as I have taken to drinking to numb my depression. I am reducing the Citalopram over the next week <40mg over the next 3 days and then <20mg for the coming week and a half. I have been told I can not start on the Zispin until next week. Any info from others would be greatly arreciated. I want the new antidepressants to work as quickly as poss and not suffer coming off the Citalopram. I find it so hard to get through the day that the thought of having to wait for weeks and weeks for it to work scares me.
