Hello,

I am 24 years old. 2 years ago I moved out to AZ. Exactly one year ago I started having allergies. For the past year all I have done is gone to the doctor and paid him money. Nothing he has suggested has worked.

My symptoms:

* presure on my temples/forhead
* congested nose(mild)
* dizzyness/lightheaded
* brain fog(hard time focusing,thinking)
* sore neck(get worse as the day goes on, I can tell how bad of a day I am going to have by bending my head back and seeing how strong my neck feels)
* fatigue
* red eyes(eveyday)
* All symptoms occur everyday

What I have done:

* Taken claritin, singular, clarinex, astelin, rhinocort, prednisone, CT(show congestion, but none of the nasal sprays have worked)

The worst part of my allergies is the brain fog or unclear thinking. I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas or thoughts for me. Is there anything else that I could try. Any suggestions would be great. :)

Try the OTC drug Chloro-Trimeton. Take a 12mg pill in the morning and one at night. If you can only find the 4 mg pill - Take these every 4 hours. You'll know in about 3 days if this will help you.

I could not find Chloro-Tremeton anywhere. Is it over the counter or prescription?

Anyways check out this webpage. Chiggins had a good post which should give you some ideas.

Cut-Throat is absolutely right. Chlor-Tremeton is a great OTC medication.
I had every symptom you have listed here, and NOTHING helped. Singulair was a joke, Zyrtec did little if anything, the nasal sprays made my symptoms worse.

So I went out and got Chlor-Tremeton 12mg capsules (12 hour). The first time I took it, it made me very sleepy. The next morning, I took it again, and felt much more alert. By the 3-4 capsule, my body had adjusted to the medication. Within 3 days, I saw a 40% reduction in symptoms. It is now a week later, and I have had a 60% reduction in symptoms. Very little lightheadedness and virtually no dizziness. The pressure has gone down 80%.

I combine Chlor-Tremeton with nasal irrigation twice a week, and I also used Sinofresh and occasionally Sinus Buster. I don't need any other medications.

If you can't find it at the store, order it over the Internet. The stuff was a life-saver for me.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will go out and get Chloro-Trimeton. Im getting to the point where i will try anything, if it may help. Not being able to function or think clearly is huge problem for me, especially at work. Thanks again :)

I should also note that my most recent CT scan came back, and it showed bacteria in my maxillary and ethmoid sinus cavities. This was causing a lot of the pressure and dizziness.

However, it looks like I might be fighting this one off through irrigation, Chlor-Tremeton, Sinofresh, and Sinus Buster. I was feeling pretty good today, and see no need to go back on antibiotics.

Some doctors think antibiotics are useless against sinus infections, because there is very little blood flow in the sinuses. You are better off irrigating.
