Anyone know of any good pain management facilities in Louisville, KY?
If you have been, I'd like to know your experiences. I know nothing about them but may need to resort to that route if I don't get help elsewhere!

Well this is a good question, Ive been dealing with the issue of finding a good pain doc in lou. for a while now. Heres what I can offer, Pain Control Network run by Dr. Dunbar is awful and another one I tried call Pain Network with Dr. Garris wasnt much better. However from what I have learned, The Pain Institute run by Dr. Harren(sp?) is the best and he is one of the best in the entire area however that being said its very hard to get in and what not its located over by shelbyville rd and hurstbourne near Z's oyster bar if you know that area. Thats about all I can offer, if anyone else has any info please share!

If this helps, I know Dr. Zhou & he is GREAT! Very understanding and works to find the best solution for his patients (I am one of them).

Good luck!

Hi everyone.I would like yo share my experience with pain mgmnt. About 5-6 months ago i fell off a ladder and the pain stayed so i went to my family dr ,had a mri which read cervical stenosis and many disc bulges and he put me on lortab 10 mg and referred me to a pain dr about 2-3 months later i went to see dr collis i am on the medical card and this was the only dr taken new patients.at any rate i went and he decreased my dose to lortab 5 mg 3 times a day.and he said if they didn't work he would increase the dose so i went back a month later and he said i must have misunderstood he seldom gives more than 5 mg.So i am out of luck.I am so sick and tried of crying all day because of pain, this is a alful life. I have been trying to ask people that i know about pain dr and if they know any that are not scared of treating pain.but i really don't know anyone.I can afford to maybe pay $100 or a little more for a dr visit but i am scared if i pay for the visit i will still be in the same boat.its not like i am asking for oxyconin or anything i would just like to have the lortab 10mg back because they helped. I really need help so if anyone could help please let me know.

Hi,

I used to go to Metro Pain Associates in Louisville, Ky. the address is 4121 Dutchmans Lane Suite 606, Louisville, Ky, the phone# is 1-888-896-9877, its toll free. I seen Dr. Gary Reasor and he was a wonderful pain dr. I quit going because it took me close to three hrs. to get there and I had to go every two months for my refills. When I first went to see him he asked me what the problem was and my history and the very next thing I knew he prescribed me percs. 10/325 3x's a day. I didn't even have to have any test ran or anything. All I can remember is that I had told him that I had an MRI done of my cervical spine and I had two buldging discs in the left side of my neck which was causing a burning sharp pain going from my neck down my left arm and now my hand is beginning to go numb. I am going to a different pain dr. now thats much closer to home, but I do not like him as well as Dr. Reasor. It seems like every time I go they look at you like all you want is pain meds. Dr. Reasor's staff didn't make me feel that way. If this continues I might have to go back to Louisville because I really liked them. I hope this helps you.
