Sponsor quincy 08-17-2004, 05:02 AM Hi, It could definitely be related. It takes a while to recover (feeling limited), some women miss their uteruses (I still rejoice 10 years later), there are hormone imbalances if you had your ovaries removed, it's painful, the pain meds can produce depression as well. If you're prone to depression or have been while dealing with your health issues relating to your proposed hysterectomy and now that it's been done the change is like the calm after the storm.... I was depressed a bit after my hysterectomy, but not because of me having the surgery. It took a while for my estrogen to kick in, as well I was in quite a bit of pain for a few weeks after leaving the hospital and we had tons of rain that summer and it was grey, grey or dark grey every day. I hope you recover well, but if you're having issues you might want to discuss them with your doctor and he/she can hopefully lead you in the right direction so that you start to feel better. Best to you, quincy |
