I am really worried that I may have picked up an oral STD from a girl that i gave oral sex to (unprotected) about 2 weeks ago, after a week went by my lips start feeling almost like they have a thin coating of plastic or something over them when i rub them together. Also, for the past week, my lips and the area of my mouth around my lips, the skin is starting to dry out and peel. It's not TOO bad but it is definately something that has never happened to me, and the dry cracking of my lips is bothersome. Normally I wouldn't be worried about dry skin but this is happening a week or 2 after what I did. If anyone can help identify what the deal is i'd appreciate it alot.

Dude, sounds like you have chapped lips, try some Chapstick or Blistex. The oral STDs are in your mouth, not on the skin around your mouth, except for herpes. And you'd know if you had a coldsore.

but dont you think it's a little TOO coincidental that i have never had real dry lips until just now?

No, your talking about something that happened two weeks ago and you are just connecting the two things in your own mind. Have you been playing with your lips or washing around them a lot because you feel guilty or something like that? Its not that easy to get an oral std from licking a girl and if you did, like I said they're inside your mouth and in your throat. Dry skin is just dry skin, try some lotion and Chapstick and be cool.

No I don't feel guilty and i haven't been washing my lips alot...
what would one look for in their mouth/throat? would it need to be something painful, or could it just be some bumps or white patches?

Pan, I'm not sure if it is an STD. I am not going to say that it is not because I don't know. But I can tell you that JLB is wrong, std's can lay dormant for weeks or longer. And yes they can affect your lip area, as well as inside your mouth and throat. Sometimes you won't have any symptoms such as bumps or red paches. Sometimes it could be as simple as a sore throat as such with ghonariha. (sorry about the spelling) The best advice I can give you is....go to the doctor if you are that worried. It is the best thing. If you don't want to tell your parents about what happened, just tell them you aren't feeling well and then tell the doc what happened. I'm sure they have heard it before. You aren't the first and it is nothing to be ashamed of to try to protect yourself. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
