I use to have cellulite on over my legs. I have been doing the treadmill and elliptical for 5 months 6 x's a week and I have no more cellulite on my legs. I never thought I can get rid of it but working out has made it totally gone.

I've been running a lot and still have my cellulite! Do you alternate? How long and far on the treadmill and what days do you do elliptical and how long ..what program?? I'm interested in what caused your success??? Oh, and by the way, congratulations!

I do the elliptical on Mon, Wed. Fri. Treadmill on Tues, Thur, Sat. Off on Sundays. I stay on the treadmill for 50 min, speed 4.0 and incline 5.0. Elliptical 35 min, alternate from level 1 to level 13 every 2 minutes.

Thanks! I am going to try using the elliptical more instead of running every day. Running is great but it is super hard work and I still don't have the results I want!

I walk approximatley 2 miles a few times a week. It really does work to smooth out cellulite.

jill30, do you know what you're body fat percentage is? If your cellulite is gone, your body fat level must be pretty good.

Baby_hands, an elliptical is the hottest type of cardio. Imagine pedals connected to a bicycle wheel and swing arms expect that the pedals move in an elliptical motion instead of a circular one. If you watch someone on an elliptical, you'll see their feet moving in an ellipse which is the natural running motion. Ellipticals are superior to treadmills in my opinion because they add resistance, there's less impact to your joints, you can run in reverse or squat down to target different leg muscles, and you use your arms too. A treadmill is great. I used mine for a year and lost a ton of weight but I also noticed my legs getting slimmer and they still weren't firm. Ever since I started using the elliptical, my legs have gotten thicker, firmer, and I get more comments about my butt than I ever got before. Even my arms feel better. And best of all, my knees don't hurt afterwards.

crazygirl32, running is not only hard on your knees, the shock is sent throughout your body. You can even develop back pain. Plus if you run a lot, you have to find the right surface or a really good (meaning expensive) treadmill and buy new shoes every 6 months. After using the elliptical and seeing how it's changed my appearance, I will never go back to running again.
