Sponsor Karenholden 08-21-2004, 09:03 AM Hi Yes, I have gallblader problems, but I pretty much have problems with all of my digestive system - it is very frustrating - it would be great if the doctors could just give some magic drug to fix everything. I am constantly worrying about it eventually turning into cancer. By the way - it is so great to find a forum where you can speak to others about the same problems - having digestive problems can feel really lonely sometimes. Regards Karen ;) sis22 08-21-2004, 04:41 PM I have had gall bladder problems.I had my gall bladder removed 5 yrs ago. anr 08-27-2004, 11:33 PM I've had a hyda scan a couple of months ago. It wasn't too bad. It was a little uncomfortable when they inject the drug that makes your gall bladder contract. I felt very crampy and nauseated when this chemical was injected. It takes a couple of hours to complete the test. Good luck! Katie G 08-30-2004, 11:58 AM Hi there - you'll find lots of posts of hida scan experiences on the Digestive Disorders site too. Katie G guitarpicker 09-03-2004, 07:01 PM IBS doesn't necesarily "become" cancer, but there's nothing that says you can't have both. Fortunately, colon cancer is relatively easy to detect via colonoscopy. I have one every so many years when I have a bad enough IBS attack that I, too, start wondering if it's something worse. The exam itself isn't bad. It's the prep before the exam that is bad, but no worse than a bad IBS attack. :( |
