I am a 23 year old women and I have just started doing cardio exercise again after a long break. Now that I have gotten by stamina and endurance up again, I am looking into weight lifting and I don't know how to weight lift to gain maximum results. I am just looking to tone, not bulk up. In the past all I did was legs and arms. I know men target certain areas. I was wondering if anyone has a good plan that they could share with me. Maybe the certain muscle groups that are targeted and certain exercises that are done. I just want to make sure that I am doing it right. Any advice or where I could get advice is very appreciated.

I would target arms, abs, thighs and glutes if I was a woman. Of course everyone is built differently. For example, I rarely workout legs (With weights) as I've played soccer all my life and have plenty of muscle down there.
I would just do an all-around workout targeting what you think might be problem areas.
