Hi. New here. I'm having a stone crushed tomorrow, the shockwave therapy but first they are doing the cystoscope, maybe a stent, who knows and then the shock therapy. Anyone else have this done and even though they are giving me a sedative, how does one feel afterwards? Can I proceed with my normal life? I'm a little nervous about his, anxiety, you know, but I lost my brother 6 months ago to Chronic Renal Failure at the VA Hospital. And please do't make me more nervous than I am. Please! I'm very sensitive about the kidneys.
So is this procedure going to cause me great discomfort or will I be fine and can proceed on with normal daily life?

Thanks

Andrea

I have had this done numerious times...not to worry! The procedure is not bad at all...I do not care for having stint placement. I find them to be uncomfortable. I wish you luck and I am truly sorry about your brother.

Well, I did it, and it was painful and my stomach swelled up. Anyways, it's been two weeks, have a low grade fever again and flank pain in front, rib cage and down. Is this normal?
