i have scars on my knees that when i am in the sun they get darker than the rest of my skin.. its not really all that bad i just want to have even skin tone on my legs... i know it is because of these scars that i have.. these scars are old though i have had them for a long time.. and i know that it is because of my scars because my arms have a few scars on them and the skin on the scar is darker than the rest of the skin... my question is is there anything that i can do that will make these scars go away so i can have an even skin tone on my legs?? i dont want to have any sergory.. but is there a lotion or a ointment of some sort that i can buy that will make these scars go away??

if there isnt is there any tips that you can give me on how to get my knees to tan the same color as the rest of my skin?

Sounds like scars from growing or gaining and loosing weight, these are very normal.
What you can try but it may not work because they are old is to put vitamin E oil on them every day. Buy the type in a capsule, use a needled to pop open and put on the scar.
There are new scar kits that can be found in the pharmacy section that are supposed to work on lightening old scars as well as new. I don't know if these really work as they are pretty new on the market. They cost between $10 and $25 for about a months supply.

I like vitamen e for scars. You can get the liguid gels and ***** them with a pin and rub the vitamen e all over your scars for a couple weeks everyday and that should help them disappear.

Scars are darker not only because of recent rupture to the skin, but also because of hyperpigmentation. HTis means that you have a concentrated melanin region there, which also means this area more readily absorbs sunlight.

So, try to cover up the scars with a band-ait when you are out in the sun!

Also, use a bleaching cream like hydroquinone (2-4%).

Cocoa butter keeps the skin moist and promotes slow healing.

ya i thought of that too... that it absorbs sunlight more than the rest of my skin so i started to but sunscreen on my knees and elbows when i go out in the sun... that way the rest of my skin will tan the same color....

i will see if i can get the vitamin E liquid capsuls
are they expensive or cheap??
