Just curious to see if anyone has tried weekly prozac for their OCD, and other things. I was prescribed it for depression, anxiety, and OCD. Good or bad experiences, I would love to know. Thanks!

Hi Yes I was on Prozac Weekly for about 9 months. I liked it because you only had to take one pill per week. My doctor recently incresed my dose of Prozac so I had to switch to 40mg daily. My insurance co wouldn't cover Prozac Weekly two pills per week.
All I can say is that the 90mg Prozac Weekly equals about 12mg per day. It's time released over the week.That was not enough to help my OCD symptoms.
Now that I'm on 40 mg a day is has helped so much with anxiety. The OCD symptoms are still there but the anxiety has decreased a lot.

Thanks for replying Kim. The first thing I want out of the way is the anxiety. I hate my OCD, but I hate the anxiety feeling even worse, although I do get quite anxious over OCD'ing. LOL! Can't win I guess. I will just have to take it one day at a time. Thanks a bunch!
