Just throwing this thought out there... My husband & I had been sleeping on a typical innerspring mattress (3 year old Sealy Crown Jewel) and really found that after a while (after the plush topping compressed) it aggravated my osteoarthritis. This was mostly because it did not "give" enough, allowing me to sink in and ease pressure points... Instead it pressed or repelled :) against my hips and tailbone making me need to move constantly... I move enough due to gelling and stiffness, but the mattress made it worse with pressure points. We recently bought a LATEX mattress (also a Sealy) and it really seems to HELP, not CURE my situation!!

Just some food for thought.

A mattress can make the world of difference. If you have an old saggy mattress that offers no support you are going to wake up feeling pain pain than normal.
We bought a tempurpedic a while ago and it seems to do a decent job. It works for some folks but not all.
We have also tried the Sealy orthopeadic mattress and it was too hard and ended up hurting my back more than it helped

One of the best things I have done this year is to buy a Visco Memory Foam Mattress-- it has 3" of memory foam and 5" of latex about like a Tempurpedic but less than half the price online. It has made a world of difference.
