I'm just wondering how much vitamins and supplements a 40 year old woman needs. I can't seem to find a good vitamin regimen and I don't know if sometimes I get too much of something or maybe not enough. Heres what I take: Everyday: Multivitamin
Vitamin B Complex
Folic Acid (400IU)

Alternating days (meaning not consistently) Fruit and veggie supplement
Ly-zine
Chrom Pic
Vitamin A plus Zinc

Does anyone have any comments on this because I get these irritated taste buds (sometimes one right after the other) and I don't know if stress or maybe vitamins are causing it. Thanks for all of your help! HAve a great day!

Singer, I'd add a calcium/magnesium supplement to that list. The RDA for calcium is 1000-1500 mg a day, for magnesium it's 400-600mg a day. The two minerals will help maintain good bones and the magnesium in particular will help with many other things. They usually come together in one supplement in ratio of 2:1 (2x as much cal as mag). Avoid ones that are made from calcium carbonate (oyster shells) at it's hard to absorb and can cause tummy troubles.

Cheers,
Nat
