Workmans comp won't cover my Mobic anymore and instead my Dr is prescribing Lodine. Now I've tried virtually all anti inflamatories including Cox 2 inhibiters etc, Mobic has been the only one that works for me and importantly gives me NO side effects like the others. I have not tried this Lodine and was curious if anyone else has.

I've not tried it however have you tried Bextra? It is similiar to Mobic. I take Mobic but did take Bextra for about a year when it didn't seem as effective anymore without many side effects. I now take the Mobic.

I'm on workmans comp permanently and they won't pay for Mobic, Vioxx bextra etc, just the cheaper stuff. My rheumy has prescribed it to me in the past and my hubby's insurance picks it up but now that I'm on wc they won't pay for it. So far the Lodine hasn't done much and my Dr is trying to get wc to ok mobic as it is one of the few drugs I can take. Bextra I've not tried tho. Lodine is suppose to be in the same family as mobic I guess.
I've been on Lodine for more yrs than I can remember..(maybe over 10 yrs) b4 it went generic. I asked my Dr for something 'better' as my hands had gotten worse. He put me on a med that had just went generic, spose to be a generation better than Lodine, well it didnt work as well for me & I went back to Lodine. Dont you just hate INSURANCE trying to tell Drs what you need for pain control.

I can't believe anyone can take Lodine! Surprise to me. Everyone I know in my family took one pill, felt like a fire bomb went off in their stomach  , and then took three days to get over it. We all threw it away. Big trouble. But, hey - if it worked for some, it might be worth a try - get the dr. to give you a small sample. It generally takes one pill to find out if you can tolerate it.
