For the last few months i've noticed just before I get an outbreak I have really bad aches in my lower back and down both legs, it gets so bad sometimes it's hard for me to walk. I was just wondering if anyone else here suffers really bad aches also??

Yep, been there, done that, got the t-shirt! I dont get the pains with every OB though, only the more severe ones. If its gets really bad then I would take some ibuprofen, but unfortunately it seems to be part and parcel of the wonderful world of H for people like us. But be thankful, as I have had pains in, shall we say a more sensitive area, that are worse and even turn peeing into a couple of minutes of guerrilla warfare!

Thanks for replying! It's nice to know it is associated with Herpes especially when a nurse I spoke to tried to tell me it's very rare to get with Herpes. Since reading the web and forums the last few days it looks like it's quite common. I was starting to worry......

Yes,
I get the same thing when I have an outbreak. My legs and back ache. I also get flu like symptoms which makes me seek the bed for some rest. I had a hysterectomy back in Feb. and it has certainly lowered my immune system. My herpes outbreaks are more frequent and that is the pits.

[FONT=Comic Sans MS]I also get those symptoms, I also get a bad outbreak about once every 6 months and for a few days before hand I end up in bed with a headache, no energy, a feeling of my head being heavy, dizzy (but not passing out) and not quite with it and then after a few days of feeling liek that I get an outbreak really bad, which has just happened to me in the last few days......I also feel sick and really tired, it doesn't always happen this way, mostly I just get the feelings in my back and legs but I have also been taken to the hospital a couple of times with suspected meningitis...... I am currently waiting for blood test results to see if anything else is going on with me... hopefully not, this is bad enough. :confused:

Oh my goodness....I'm trying to find out what my problem is..whether or not I have this and then I read this post. This is something that I have too--the pain in the legs. I used to just associate it with cold weather or anemia if it wasn't cold. But I do have this leg pain sometimes right before I have the other pain. I just don't know what to do---
