Yesterday the examiner from DDS called to ask if I have received any epidural injections. Tuesday I saw My pain DR and explained to DDS examiner that during our office visit PM DR personally called my WC claim adjuster and demanded authorization, he told her that it was an emergancy and that I needed this treatment. He told me he was going to schedual me regardless of WC decision and then he would bill me and I'd have to submit it to them. So I told the examiner this. She also asked me to contact the Neurosurgon I consulted with and said that she too would be calling him for his info. Then she asked me about my depression and told me to consult one of my dr's for this and to try some depression meds. During the conversation I think she was trying to feel me out and mentioned how I "couldn't even care for my baby" I started crying and told her I just wanted this to go away so I could get my life back Then she said "well if your Neuro Dr doesn't comply we might have to send you to see one of our Dr. just to tie up loose ends" I agreed and she told me she hopes things get better for me. Would DDS put this much effort into denying a case? I applied June 29 and This is the second time she called me. The first time it was about calling my dr to get them going on my paperwork. I have a good feeling as this woman really seems empathetic towards what I'm going through. Has anyone else had calls like this from DDS? If so was it a positive type thing? Any advice would be appreciated.
