Returned from summer vacation in Canadian Rockies within last two weeks and have noticed that my finger joints in both hands are starting to ache. Is predominantly in the left hand but also in right. Seems to center on the back of the hand and is noticeable when I straighten or flex my fingers.
No other symptoms noted.
Girlfriend also has these symptoms but only difference was that she had a sore throat when they started to appear.
Of course received mosquito bites on trip but never noticed anything like tick bites.
Anyone have suggestions as to whats causing this. See the doc next week.
Thanks for input.

Generally joint pain in the hands is one of the many forms of arthritis.
If your hands on the other hand were numb or tingly that would be an indication of carpal tunnel sydrome or a pinched nerve in your neck or any other area within the arm.
Usually if was caused by a bit one would think that you would also have other symptoms as well. Was your friend checked out an all was fine, maybe it was just a coincidence?
Good luck to you
