I am 29 years old with 3 children and started having the problems that I am having a few months ago. My periods have gotten worse since Jan. 2004. I and my doctor believed that I had endometrosis, however, I was having gallbladder trouble at the same so I had an ultrasound of both my abdomen and my pelvis. During this ultrasound, there was free fluid in my abdomen and at the time it was believed that it was from a possible ruptured cyst. During my gallbladder surgery, it was discovered that I do in fact have a cyst on my right ovary. I went yesterday (8-19-2004) to have another ultrasound. A complex cyst was found on my right ovary measuring 3.3 X 3.7 X 3.4. Also, I had more free fluid in my abdomen again. The fluid that was removed during my gallbladder surgery tested negative for any malignant cells. So, the radiologist and my docs impression is this, ovarian cancer, liver disease, some type of other cancer in my abdomen, or tuberculosis or some other type of inflamatory disease. They are thinking that the cyst on my ovary is probally a cystadenoma. My questions are this ......... What is the possibility that this really is some type of cancer? Wouldnt my surgeon that did my gallbladder surgery have seen something suspicious when he was in there? I am just scared and worried and hope that someone has some advice they could give me.
