View Full Version : Symptoms of ovarian cancer

In the past few days I have really had some pretty noticeable abdominal swelling. At first I thought it might just be gas, but this is really an uncomfortable achy type feeling. It almost feels like I am about to start my period, but I am regular as clock work and not due to start for another full week. I have had a persistant pain in my pelvic area, low on the left side. I have been really fatigued lately. To the point of I just seem to come home from work and crash on the couch.

I am in my late 20's and I am really bad about going to the ob/gyn. About 2 years ago was the last time I had an exam. They had some concerns at that time and sent me for a ultrasound in which a cyst was discovered. They watched it for 2 months and when I went in for a follow-up it had actually gone away and they saw nothing else. They commented that people get cysts all the time that can just go away after having your period. I have not been back since to the doctor since that time, so it has been awhile.

Now I am freaking out over these symptoms. I never had those similar symptoms before. Do those symptoms sound like a real concern?
