I haven't been able to eat for 3 weeks! I tried to eat a mcdonalds cheeseburger plain last night and as soon as I started eating my stomach bloated up.
My doctor told me to get Prilosec OTC, it is not helping, it did for the first day I took it and thats it.
I always feel like my stomach is a "lumpy" inside and "gritty" feeling. It almost feels like air bubbles. I can't burp, when I do the burp doesn't come all the way out.
Even when I drink water it feels like this, even when I don't eat I feel this way 24/7.
My stomach bloats up, I don't have any pain, even when I don't eat it always feels like something is trying to come up in my throat.
What is going on?
Please help!!!!

this sounds like you must go to your dr. and have an expert check it out.
It's going on much too long. even if you don't have medical insurance, you may want to go to a clinic.
Theres' this nasty little bacteria called H-pylori that can cause a host of problems. there are a few ways they can check for this. If it is this, they will give you some antibiotics and bismuth. ( tums, rolaids, etc.) to erradicate this little bugger.
it can really cause some pretty serious trouble. It embedds itself into the mucous lining of your stomach and your body is trying to attack it but it's in deep. Your body responds in trying to get to it which in turn causes ulcers and some experts feel it can lead to stomach cancer. They've done biopsies on patients with stomach cancer and have found a very high percentage of this bacteria in them.
most of the poplulation have this bacteria inside of them and don't even know it. It can cause of alot of vague symtoms like having indegestion to even losing a substancial amount of weight, due to the fact the person can't eat alot of food. they always feel so full and bloated and nauseus. it feels as if you ate 4 plates of food rather than just a few bite fulls that the person really ate.
I would suggest that you go to the dr. as soon as possible. why suffer when You don't have to?

It sounds as if you do have acid reflux. However, you have to take the Prilosec for about a month for everything to settle down. One day will not cut it. Also, while you are waiting for the drug to heal and get rid of the acid, there are some other things you could do. First, stay away from MacDonalds. Most of the food is loaded with fat that can cause a flare up of your symptoms. You need to go on a bland diet and eat 5-6 smaller meals a day. This means about a handful of food per meal.
Prilosec will help your stomach and esophagus heal, but it takes time. Also, take the medicine before you eat anything in the morning so it has time to work without food in your stomach.

Thank you
Today I feel like my stomach is burning, around my belly button area.
It is lower than it normally is, it feels like I have done a million situps my stomach is so tight feeling.
I took a prilosec this morning when I got up. I have been taking them for 3 days now. I hate taking medicine. I don't even take Tylenol if I dont' have to.
I still keep burping. I ate a small piece of french bread with some ham and cheese. That sure didn't help things any.
Can I take anything with Prilosec? Like tums? It is not working.
I was on Nexium for 1 day, it seemed to work but I had an allergic reaction to it and had to stop.
Thank you everyone for your answers and support.
PS
I would also like to add that when I have been going to the bathroom my stook is loose, not really loose like diarrah but it is also yellowish? What is this?

The yellowish stool is nothing to worry about. If you have loose stool it can be yellow due to bile. Yes, you can take Tums with Prilosec. Many people do. You have to wait at least a week before the Prilosec kicks in. Keep with it.

I have acid reflux & prilosec did not work for me, but nexium does, but the symptoms you describe are not usual for acid reflux. Also the area of pain isn't either. I would ask the doctor to run some tests. I also had 2 ulcers, but had horrible pain with them & it was right under the rib cage on the left side to the middle, no where near the belly button area. Best to have it checked out, could be a bacterial infection that needs an anti-biotic.

A MacDonald's cheeseburger is enough to cause problems for anyone! How do you do with say, a banana on an empty somach in the morning? Does everything cause problems? Have you tried different foods on an empty stomach one at a time to see if some foods work better for you than others?

Are you stressed or nervous? This happens to me when I'm worried about something or obsessing over something.
