Anyone have this or know some with it? How was it treated and can you ever get the eyes to look exactly like normal ones?

Treatment for this is usually started as soon as it's noticed and from what I've learned in school treatment consists of wearing an eye patch over the good eye for a period in order to strengthen the muscles in the bad eye. If both eyes are lazy you have to alternate patches. I think this condition is from weak muscles I am not a Dr. and have no personal experience in this but this is what I have learned. Hope it helps you.

i myself had a lazy eye since i was young. I had surgery where they tighted the muscle to pull my eye over a bit. now my eye is even with the other one. the eye sight in the eye that was "lazy eye" didnt improve tho. the dr told me to follow my hand with both eyes for a month to get them used to working together. i am gettin lasik when i am old enough to make my vision 20/20 in both eyes again. i am 18 right now.

Hi,
I have lazy eye in my left eye. It has been like that my whole life, I have worn bifocal glasses since I was 2 and switched to contacts when I was about 12. I havent had any surgery, someday I will. When I was younger I had to wear a pacth over my good eye with my glasses on, my eye is still lazy.
Wearing my contacts makes it not look crossed, but if Im tired or someting you can tell.
I have had this my whole life, and people you dont know tend to look at you and stare or ask "are you tired" . It still kind of bothers me, but I try not to let it.
You should ask you eye doctor the opctions you have w. correcting it.
Good Luck,
A
