Ok, I know this sounds somewhat strange, but I have this one spot about 4 inches above my knee on my left leg that I had an outbreak about a year ago. I went to the hospital and they thought it was shingles but once they read that I had herpes they knew exactly what it was. Well, it just so happens that when I was driving this morning my leg was itching and guess what? the blisters were there again! I was so upet because I just hate having blisters right above my knee, it's such a strange area and last time it scarred pretty badly and I don't want to deal with this all the time. Anyone else have weird outbreaks like this or have a good way to get rid of them? I've had herpes for a little over a year and a half and don't have too many outbreaks. I have Olive Leaf Extract as well as Valtrex. Any ideas? Thanks so much guys! This board is a great help!

I would use Choraphor on the affected area or DMSO, or Oregano Oil.
They tend to dry the OB area a lot faster.
Choraphor will help you to not to come back on the same place. It has worked for me.

Sunshine-
I do understand what you're going through...Im a newbie here, so I thought Id reply...I have the same problem as you with my herpes condition....Ive had herpes around 1yr 1/2, and it has spread, they shouldnt call it genital herpes, just because thats where it starts, because it spreads in wet conditions, and that doesnt mean just by moistness during intercourse, it can spread in the shower as well...I have discovered this, because as the year has progressed, while having my condition, I notice now it is on my thighs, and sometimes very small pin pricked red measley looking bumps on my legs after I shave my legs, I believe that I also have it under my arms, because I'm a girl, and I'm not going to quit shaving my underarms, and other areas just because I have herpes, I still want to keep a clean regimen, especially after I've contracted this disease, and also a few days ago I noticed a scab on my hairline, and thats just from using my hands to shampoo, my hair, even though I wash my hands all the time, the virus can still spread. and the thing is I look normal, its not tons of scabs just little ones here and there, in odd places, just because taking a shower everyday has spread the outbreaks, to different areas, I try to be careful, but what else can you do? Im not going to go out and buy a new towel every day, or change a razor after each stroke I make...or not touch my head to shampoo it, I mean, this is how it is, so if you have them on your thigh be very cautious, and remember, you're not going to be able for the rest of your life, to only keep the outbreaks in one place, unless you're a millionare and can afford it...so until then, just be careful everyday, and make sure to wash your hands everytime you touch near your outbreaks, and make sure to have respect for yourself, thats always important. Take care, and if you need an ear, I'm here for support...

You must have a very virulent strain. I've had it 14 years and take showers every day with no extra precautions, and I've never spread it anywhere else except from near my vagina to near my anus--not from the shower, I'm pretty sure! About the towels--if they dry out between uses, the virus has died.
