For about 2 weeks now, I've noticed some whitish bumps on the head of my penis. In the last week I have noticed a slight growth in those bumps. I'm really confused as to what exactly I have. I'm going to the doctor this week (thank god, trying to remain anonymous around the family has been impossible) However, I notice i've had a slight outbreak of acne on my body, and some blistering on my lips. Also, I have pain in my knee. Could this be genital warts, herpes, a combination of both, or something else. Also, if nobody feels like replying, could you direct me to a thread that explains any of this? Thanks again.

It's really hard to guess based on the description "whitish bumps." If I had to offer an opinion, I'd say they sound more like warts than herpes, but they could be something more harmless, like PPP or pimples. I'm glad you're going to the doctor; s/he can take a look and diagnose you.

I should have been more specific. I'm pretty sure it's not PP as i've looked at pictures of PP victims and it seems they only grow around the base, and for me this is not the case. They aren't pimples on the penis cause they aren't popping.

Bumps on the penis that are growing do sound like warts, but as I said before, that's only a guess. I'm sure there are a lot of harmless skin conditions that can occur on the penis too. Let us know what the doctor says.

I really appreciate the time you people take to answer these questions. Just one last one though. I'm sure (kind of hoping it's GW over Herpes) but with Genital Warts or maybe any other skin condition you can get, is it possible that pimple like symptoms develop on any other parts of the skin? Cause I have noticed more than usual acne around my shoulder/back area, and a slight outbreak around the mouth.

Genital warts occur around your genitals and anus, not on your back or around your mouth, sounds like the other pimples are just regular acne, dude. Those wouldn't be related to bumps on your penis, there two unrelated things.

i thought at first what i had was some sort of pimple. but it lasted for months. so i feared it was hpv. but i had a biopsy and it looks like its molluscum. ive seen over 6 different people on this too.

Awwman, it sounds as though this could be hpv (genital warts). As you said they are whitish and do not pop and it is spreading. Have you also thought about chlamidia. It can also cause pimp looking things on the penis. I do not think it would be acne. The best thing to do, you are doing, going to the doctor. Only they can give you a straight answer and get you help if you need it! Kudos to you. Hope it all works and and my best wishes. Let us know how it turns out!!

Well, seen the doctor on Thursday afternoon. He took a look and he really thinks it could be genital warts. He asked me a bunch of questions, and he doesn't believe it's hiv or aids because I haven't had any discharge of any sorts, although he said there still COULD be a chance I have it, just very slim. He sent me to a urologist and i'm guessing they will be burned off. Also, he asked me if I wanted to be tested for std's and I told him yes. While I'm relieved (somewhat) that it's genital warts, the part now that scares me is the upcoming testing. However, I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

Awwman I was in the same boat you were with wondering what I had was genital warts or herpes. I was informed I had herpes, but then I asked my doctor what the "white bumps" could be. She told me that they're white membranes that produce around your genital area when your body has an infection. Maybe this could be what you're seeing.

Another question . Could masturbation trigger the "outbreak" to be much worse and cause more bumps? I have an uncirumsized penis.

Well, when I got home from school today, my mother informed me that the doctors office called and they wanted to see me Monday. My appointment with the urologist which was scheduled for next Wednesday has now apparently been moved up a month. I am terrified beyond belief. I have to wait until Monday to find out whatever news i'm getting. I'm terrified it's aids, if not herpes.

if it looks like a colliflower, it might just be gential warts. i got it at the URETHRA OPENING, so i'm looking for a uralogist now, that works with that.. if ya find out how much it'll cost to do like surgery or lazer or electric.. let me know man :) i'm uncircumized too.. good luck

it sound like you may have FORDYCE PAPULES. Your mouth and genital have something in common. They are both mucos membranes. Sometimes if the is and infection, the mucos membranes are effected by an auto immune response.
The unusal acne on the back is probably caused by a bacteria.
