Hi, I'm new to the board. I think this is a great place to get some help on medical problems.
My father is 63 years old. He has HBP and has been on prescribed medicines for 11 years. But I think those medicines have done some damage to his kidney and liver. So I'm looking for herbal alternatives. However, there are so many in the market, I got really frustrated. Any help will be highly appreciated.

There's a product called Blood Pressure Factors (do a search) that is available in health stores. It contains 15 ingredients including garlic, cayenne, hawthorne berry, taurine, potassium, magnesium, etc. It recommended you take one tablet after each meal. Also helpful is orange juice and bananas which are high in potasium. Avoid foods high in saturated fats. Also, do a search using the words: reducing high blood pressure naturally. There is a lot of data out there. Walking a few miles a day is also helpful. Good Luck.

I don't know what his weight is, but even losing 10-20 pounds and exercising regularly is certainly a good way to try and get the pressure down and you don't have to buy anything!
;)
Other than that I hear garlic with 4000mg Allicin content may help. I am reading a book whereby they talk about making permanent lifestyle changes to battle hypertension--not just medicine... not just diet... not just exercise, but a combination (with as little medication as needed).
"What Your Doctor May NOT Tell You About Hypertension", by Mark Houston M.D.
I also bought "Reversing Hypertension : A Vital New Program to Prevent, Treat, and Reduce High Blood Pressure" by Julian Whitaker, but have not read it yet.

Thank you very much for the information. I'll buy this product for my father. Sorry it took so long to say thank you.

Thank you. I'll do more research too.
