I am only 23 which is young for ovarian cancer. But I have like 6 of eight symptoms on pages i have researched. I have horrible abdominal pain, gas and nausea. I had cyst a year ago but they never checked again to see if they went away or grew, my doctor just ignored them basically. I urinate like constantly, painful sex, and back pain. also bloating. i am also tired all of the time i have to take naps and fall asleep all the time if i don't. But on the pages it says heavy bleeding is a symptom only i have missed my periods for at least 4 months. Before that I had a depo shot and then a tubal. But before when I came off of depo my periods statred immediatly. I am going for a blood test in september but i read thet they do not always show up if you do have ovarian cancer, I don't have insurance and I am afraid of all of the bills for the test. Can anyone give me advise? Has anyone had these symptoms and been diagnosed with anything else?

The most important thing is see if the cyst is still there. then you can maybe get a new dr. who follows up on this.
don't ignore it. especiallly since you're having other symtoms. It could be somthing else but why take guesses?
there is a type of cyst that afflict younger woman of your age. but it's not common. it is important to get this ckd out.
good luck

I am by no means saying that I think you have ovarian cancer, however, most of the information I have read in the past says that irregular menstrual bleeding is a symptom in only about 20% of those with this type of cancer. It is not an overly common symptom.

At any rate, I would get into your doctor and have everything checked out. Cysts can cause medical problems as well, so it is best to take care of things now.

Good luck, and let us know what you find out.
