Hi, I was sooo excited to get mine done so the pain didn't even bother me! In fact, my brusies were gone almost completely after one week. I wasn't all the way asleep when they did it but the two hour surgery seemed like it took 10 mins. I didn't even feel any pain when they did it but when they had to break my nose I felt a lot of pressure from that. That part gave me a headache afterwards but the pain was just minimal for me. Good Luck!

They don't tell you to pick a nose you like!!!! Have you had a consultation yet with a plastic surgeon? When you go they will take a profile picture and then he/she will put it up on a screen for you and they will show you approximately what you will look like after it's done. I also had a bump taken out, the sides brought in and the tip brought up. I'm 28 now and I had it done when I was 25. If you have it done before college it literally heals up within a few weeks. After two weeks, mine was completely gone and you couldn't even tell that I had a nose job. You could tell that something looked different about me but unless I showed you a picture you couldn't tell what! That's why you need to find a good doctor! You are soooo lucky that your insurance is paying for it! I am still paying mine off. Don't worry if they don't put you all the way to sleep. You won't even know what's going on!!!! Good Luck! Beth
