Hi this is my first post and am glad I found this board. Can anyone tell me the accuracy of this monitor? I bought it about 3 weeks ago and have been using it, but now that I read the directions again I don;t think I am using it correctly.
How do you take your blood pressure with this monitor? I was sitting at a table with my elbow resting on the table and lift my wrist to my heart level while leaving elbow flat. Am I supposed to leave my wrist pointing up or straight out?
I can never figure these out!!

I heard and my gp told me that the wrist bp monitors are not good to use. I recently purchased a new monitor but not the wrist.

I don't know bcuz i was told to buy the omron 711 model by my endo. I have problems keeping my bp normal. Perhaps you could ask your local pharmacist. I purchased my monitor at Wal Mart and the pharmacist helped me choose a model. My bp is accurate bcuz i checked it against what my dr got yesterday during my appt.

Is it possible that you could trade it in. There has not been high praise on these.

I guess I could return it. Should I not use a wrist one at all? Which one should I buy? The hem 711? I have such a hard time with the arm one. I never get it right.....
