I saw a dr a little over a week ago and he diagnosed me with HSV-2. He didn't give me a prescription but my OBs are so few and far between-and very very mild thankfully! Well, a nurse just called me about 5 minutes ago and told me that I did test positive but thankfully I tested negative for everything else including the HIV virus. So in a way it's good news and in a way it's shock. In my mind I knew that I had the herpes virus but at the same time I was hoping and praying that I was wrong. Something that is almost funny is the fact that there is now a Herpes vaccine out that is still in the testing phase but seems to work on woman-and only woman. I was actually talking about getting it. LOL Well, anyways, I'm kinda shaky right now cause just hearing the words "tested positive" was like a blow to the chest. But in a way I do feel better because now I know for sure. And everyone says that I can still have a healthy sex life and I know I can but for quite a while now my husband has had no sex drive at all! Is this one of the side affects? Anyways, I just thought I'd let everyone know.
