Anyone else feel like they are floating, drunk a medicine head or something like this. I use to get this often, but sibsided to some degree. The last two weeks I have it off and on everyday, driving me to drink, lol. My allergies are bad so it may be from that and I have read tmj can also cause this. Is this part of fibro fog, I did a search on the site about fog, but no one said anything about their heads feeling strange, other than like cotton. I am not really understanding what is meant by this.
The strange thing is, I take my anti-anxiety med. and it seems to help, when the pill is wearing off I can feel it comne back, but do not feel anxious. Do you think the pill could help with FM fog. confused as usual.

Hey Linda,
I get like that when I don't get enough sleep, my sinuses are bothering me, or I have fluids behind my eardrums from the allergies.

hi both, i get like this too, wasnt sure if it was something i used to get when i had bad depression and panic attacks, like detachment. But it probably could be this then. Thats a relief then. It makes you think, am i imagining it or is this happening?? Does any ones head feel funny when you move it around too? thanks, love april

April you mean like a quick dizzy feeling, I get that on and off also. Thank you both for your replies, I try to help on the board in any way I can to posts, some I have no input for and I appreciate when someone takes time to reply to mine.

April,
That really sounds like your inner ear. You should have that checked out.

I agree with Chris, it could be your inner ear. I also get that my head is moving up and down feeling if I have a sinus infection and it's making my face swell. Just like if your feet and ankles are swollen they'll jiggle and bounce when you walk. - Andy

Thanks for the input, my allergies are bad, but not infection. Just could not understand why the anti-anxiety pill took the feeling away, unless I am anxious and do not realize it. I have read posts where people feel like this with fog also, that was the main I wanted to know, If anyone felt like that with fog. I read where tmj can also cause this. well it is one or another. I am not dizzy just sort of floaty and detached.
Thanks again, Linda

Linda,
I get the fluid behind my eardrums a lot with the allergies, I hardly ever have an infection though. Xanax used to give me that floaty detached feeling when I took it, so it could be the meds.

If it's really bugging you I would April. Mine get fluid so bad that I have to take an antibiotic to clear them up.
