I too have a daughter with grade 3-4 reflux in just her left kidney. She is on daily antibiotics and still continues to get UTI's at least once a month. The doctor doesn't seem worried at all and plans on yearly VCUG until 1) it resolves itself 2) she is 6 and he will do surgery 3) it becomes a grade 5. Would you get a second opinion? I have thought about it, but the next closest peds urologist is 3 hours away. I know that means nothing compared to my daughters health. I was wondering how many of your kids reflux resolved itself and how long did it take? The doctor still seems to think that it has probably already resolved but doesn't want to do another VCUG until Feburary. I personally think with all these recurrent UTI's that is HASN"T resolved yet. Any opinions would be appreciated.
