My thing is even though I am a vegetarian, I love the Buffet, and I try to be as selective as I can , but the pasta, noodles, etc. Oh Boy!! give me strenght, yes I know just stay away from them. How do you handle it or you just know when you go to your next Buffet bar, you will make better selections, and smaller portions!

I've always read that you should only fill your plate once and not go back for seconds. I guess you should try a little bit of all the stuff you fancy and eat the best looking stuff first. Apparently after the first few bites, the rest of the food becomes 50% less satisfactory (I read this somewhere and it does seem to make sense)

Probably a good idea not to hit the alcohol before you hit the buffet either :)

I don't go to buffets anymore. That's how I handle it.

Ack, buffets are the devil! My first two years in college I lived in the dorms with the all you can eat dining halls and gained 10 lbs; my advice is to avoid this type of eating at all costs.

I'm with LV, I just CANNOT go to buffets any more.

They become a PERSONAL BEST contest and I always try to eat $3 worth of food for every dollar I spend:(:(...bad medicine all the way 'round. I often eat til I'm SICK!

(It's akin to my staying home the day after EASTER and VALENTINE'S DAY lest I have to walk by milk chocolate bunnies for $.25. It's more than a natural bargain hunter like me can BEAR!)

Zip2play - you are hilarious! You sound just like me! What's the point of paying $8-10 for all you can eat & eat only $4-5 worth. It is more cost effective to just stay away! I also have a hard time resisting those cute little $.25 clearance chocolate bunnies AND the $20 box of chocolates on sale for $2.
Afterall - a bargain is a bargain, isn't it?
