i will just describe his symptoms. 3 days ago he got a feeling in his groin. he said it was like a twinge that came and went and when he took off his jeans he said it helped with the pain. this pain came and went, even yesterday. he said it felt like when you hold in pee for a really long time and finally go, the feeling your bladder makes when you really have to go. then today he told me last when he was having a bowel movement and was in a curved sitting position he got this ache in his back. he said it was with the twinge as well and it shot down from his lower back to just underneath his testicles. he said he gets some relief when he is standing but when he sits it is painful. he said his back is so sore like he just lifted weights. i can tell he is in a lot more pain than he really is in. im thinking a kidney infection but i just wanted to see if it sounded like something else.

It sounds like either a kidney infection or a kidney stone. Is he running a fever at all? He needs to have it checked out by a doctor as both are fairly easily taken care of. Let ud know what you find out.

thanks maryann! yes he is going to docs tonight. we thought it may have been a kidney stone the other day but ive had that and i dont think thats what it is i think kidney infection as ive had that and its sounds the same. i will def let you all know he thought maybe a hernia but i dont think its that.btw no fever or frequent urination or pain when he urinates but he has been very thirsty that last few months but im thinking its the hot weather.

well they sent him for urine tests will know more tomm. he doesnt have a fever though or any other symptoms of appencitis he said he feels like he has to push something out of him almost like what he figures itd be like to have a baby! he says the pain goes away a bit when he is lying down but whne he is on the toilet it hurts as far as the sitting position he is in. he said its twinges and the doc said it sounded suspicious instead of being able to diagnose him then and there. im worried for him but he seems to be able to function ok. he is the type that doesnt let things get to him!! so i never know how bad it is! but we will know tomm. like i said no pain when urinating other than position he is in and no fever or loss of appetite so im not sure what this is. i still am thinking that its just an infection. They didnt give him anything for pain but he also didnt ask but we have pills at home anyways so not too big of a deal.

well hubby says as of today all his pain is gone!!! we never got a call back from doc so we assumed it was neg for things in urine(although they should always call just in case!!!) so we arent sure what this pain was! we are just now assuming it was a kidney stone even though his symptoms werent completely sounding like a kidney stone. oh well!!

it appears the tests finally came back ok!! and the pain is now gone. we dont know if it were a kidney stone or not but i dont think so BUT hubby was just reading today how when you drink a lot of water and urinate frequently (he is drinking healthy amounts to get healthy)sometimes sodium can build up in our bladders and it can cause a shooting pain in your groin!! and the rest of what was described seems to match up to! has anyone heard of this??
