After many recommendations from friends etc i have just bought some emu oil. I have quite dry skin and find that nothing really seems to touch it, creams or oils just sit on top f my skin and then when i put foundation on it still looks awful.

Well i bit the bullet today and bought some from the local health shop. It is not cheap, but i put it on before my make up and its just fabulous stuff! It is said to penetrate 7x deeper than creams and my skin now feels hydrated.

I know some of you on here have dry skin so i thort id share my experience.

Is there a whole line of different emu oil brands? If I remember right, my aunt bought some emu oil specifically used to relieve pain. She has severe pain in her legs due to nerve damage and she said that this really seems to help ease the pain! I didn't know that this also is a great moisturizer. It's strange how all of a sudden people are finding out about this stuff! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

yeah there are quite a few sites now stocking a whole range of products. I can't give the url but putting it into a search engine will give lots of results.

I've been using Age Advantage (formerly Skintelligent)products that have Emu oil along w/ Kinetin, Dmae, Alpha Lipoic. Again, they're not cheap, but certainly cheaper than other products w/ the same ingredients. My skin is definitely looking better. I've never tried pure Emu oil though. I'll have to check it out.

I have used the "Emu & Aloe" cream from Serious Skin for years! It works great when your skin is dry or irritated.

Fantasee,

This Emu oil sounds great but I have dry oily skin if that makes sense so how do you think it would work for me?
