I posted here last week. Summary is that BF went in for open sore on his penis, doc thought it was GH, did swab of sore for testing, put BF on Famvir to be on the safe side.

Test results on BF came back negative. (Whew!). I am seeing my doctor tomorrow. Prior to this neither one of us have ever had any symptoms of GH.

What I am wondering is what to ask my doctor for tomorrow. Should I still insist on being tested even tho BF tested negative? (I've read that there is a pretty high occurence of false negative test results, so I want to be sure.) Is there a specific test that I should be asking for? And is such testing generally covered by a HMO insurance plan?
