I made an appointment with a rheumatologist and he can't see me until the beginning of October! Any ideas on what I could take for the pain until then? I can barely walk. What's really awful is that I am getting married in November. I don't know how I am going to get through it in this much pain! I would appreciate any ideas on how I can deal with the pain. Thanks.

IB (600 - 800 Mg) addresses my aches as long as they haven't gone a certain pain level. Heat ( pad / bath ) helps me alot too. Rest... Real peaceful relaxing music, phone shut off and doors locked... kind of Rest. But mostly, I think for me it stopping the rat race I drive myself to and easing up on the demands.

I don't know if you have been diagnosed yet, but if you haven't just know that we are all here to support you. Like lady masters said, high dose of IB will take the edge off. Motrin is good! I hope the Rheumy gives you a good pain medication for Flares. I take ultracet only when the pain is unbearable and it does the trick.

Hi Shannon, Turmeric and ginger are natural anti inflammatories and dandelion root or Uva Ursi are good for swelling. I know it makes me feel better. You can get tablets from he healthfood store.

Hope you find some pain relief soon. - Andy
