View Full Version : fading freckles/spots?

I have freckles, or age spots, on the calves of my legs...and it is so embarrassing when wearing shorts (In fact I DON'T wear them when I go out).

I am constantly checking out other's legs and feel like an alien! Even most of the older folks don't have age spots!! I know I got these from a years' use of a suntan bed and regret it.

I am currently using 40% lactic acid to try and peel them away and just started with hydroquinone. Is anyone else dealing with such a problem or do you just accept your SPOTS?

I know alot of people that have this.. I would not worry about it. Most these people I am talking about just deal with it. Be yourself and I would not give up wearing shorts outside on a hot day http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Okay - you made me feel better - but still I have only seen a couple of people who are worse than me.... and to be honest, it doesn't look THAT bad - my derm told me, "well, they could be PURPLE! Then you'd have something to really complain about!" http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/nono.gif

I'm not a vain person per sey...but this just BUGS me. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

I'll try and refocus!!!

I know the feeling of this as I had to get over a massive scar on my right arm due to removing my rotator cup.. I would just go out and be proud of who I am http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Take care
