I ws taking Ionamin for weight control but I stopped due to my thyroid meds being increased. I want to make sure I let my body adjusts to the change and I would rather not be on the Ionamin during that time.
I was able to lose 9lbs on it in four weeks. I was on a low dose and I chose to lose it slowly. I have gained almost 2 lbs since I stopped taking the Ionamin. So it is important for me to maintain my weight at this time.
I purchased Slim in 6 since I have heard such great reviews on it. I hope I can tone up and trim a few inches everywhere. Although I wouldn't mind keeping my inches around the bust area. LOL
Is anyone out there doing the slim in 6 program and if so can you help support me during this time? I don't like going to gyms because I am a bit self concious(sp) about my body and I would prefer to do this at home.

txcntrygrl,
I used the Slim in 6 program back in May. I was pretty happy with the results. I lost 12.5 pounds and about 13 inches. It wasn't quite as much as I had hoped, but ti was still good. My plan at the time was to do it again, I just haven't gotten that motivated. The exercising, although it was a little hard for me has helped to keep me from gaining all of the weight back. I'm still down about 7 pounds from before I started. The thought the diet was pretty easy to follow because it's not real strict and I've been able to keep it up pretty well even though I'm not doing the workouts. The workouts were a little too high impact for me, I just really had trouble motivating myself to do them everyday. I always felt better after I did, but it was just hard to get myself to put the DVD in the player. I also used the Slim Formula pills. I don't think they did anything. I switched to Stacker 2 after about 4 weeks and I definitely had more energy. I think that if you have a lot of will power and can really stick to the diet and the workout, you can definitely get great results. I just ordered the Yoga Booty Ballet program from BeachBody.com. Those workouts look like they might be more fun. So I'm hoping that I can stick with it. Anyway, good luck and feel free to ask any questions you have.

I just borrowed a friend's tape a few days ago,and tried it once.I'm not the most coordinated person,so I had a little trouble, and after about 10 minutes,my knees started to kill me so I had to stop.I'm going to keep trying though, and hopefully I will see some results.

Hi all-
I did SI6-over the past few months-i couldn't get thru burn it up-but did get thru ramp...
Unfortuately-im in a bad place-i have an eating disorder-(binge eating)..but it staved off any weight gain-i want to start over again-and stick to the diet and lose the x-tra lbs..
I have a hard time not munching at night-any tips..besides drastic measures?
I have 25lbs to lose..its not alot to lose-ive lost 60lbs after the birth of my son..but going thru menapause/carb sensitivity/etc..is making it so difficult..
Im seeing a nutrionist tommorow(also my gyn)-maybe she can assist me in a diet plan-ive tried-but my willpower is low-
Any suggestions???
Slim in 6 worked wonders for my husband-but hes way more commited-i guess i gotta try harder.
Advice anyone???
Thanks for listening-and i wish you all "great results"...
peace..

I am on day 4 of the Start It Up program and so far so good. I am a little uncordinated when it comes to the backward lunges. Each day gets easier to do. The first day I thought I was going to die but the way the program is set out it makes it easy to follow. The chart helps you mark of the days you have done and the dvds are timed and each exercise is timed to help make it easier to get through them. I am using the Slimming Formula. Not sure if I can tell if they make a difference. I also purchased the bands too but I am not ready to use those yet.
I also ordered Core Secrets. (the one that uses the ball) I liked it because of the flash cards that show you the different ways to use the ball.

Thanks GG65. I have to really make myself do it. When I feel like I don't want to I just remeber it is only 25 minutes and it goes real quickly. I also do the limber part too. I have about 30lbs to lose and I would like to go from a size 14 to a 7 if at all possible. I used to wear size 4 and 5s before I had kids.

GG65...don't give up at all.
Have you had your thyroid tested? I have an underactive thyroid and that makes this workout an even bigger challenge for me. I did weigh myself this morning and I weighed in at 160.5lbs. When I started SI6 I was at 164.5. Today will be a week on it. I didn't start on a Monday like it says to. I was also on AF all last week so I am sure that contributed to most of my weight loss. I didn't workout yesterday because I was running a fever due to illness. I am going to try to push myself today. Yesterday was the only day I missed. Maybe we can walk each other through this.

I have come to realize that diet pills just aren't the answer for me. In order to see results I am going to have to actually do the work.
I am on the Slim in 6 program right now. After that I plan on the doing the Core Secrets Program. When that is done then I plan on using the Firm (the latest one out). I figure that way I don't get bored doing the same program over and over again.
I am the queen of diet pills and I have purchased videos before but I never was 100% into losing the weight. I looked at myself in the mirror and I really missed the old me. I used to turn heads back then and now hardly anyone notices me. My marriage is fine and my husband has been supportive (he is trying to lose weight also but he does it by running). I want to feel sexy again so I can improve my personal life with my husband. When you feel good about your body it shows.

Hi Tx-
Ill be your buddy...im right w/ you-weight wise etc..
How are you doing w/ the diet?Obviously great since you are losing weight-
How do you manage the night time munchies-thats my big mess up-i do great all day-and wreck it at night.
I want to feel good too-about my body-i feel very un-sexy-like i said-i was always between-125-135 being my top weight-im at 160 myself..
So- igotta do this-
I am being tested for thyroid/diabetes next week-to see if there are medical reasons-other than perimenapause/etc..30 lbs in a year is pretty significant.
So Tx-im with you all the way..
peace..

GG65,
That sounds like a plan.
I am 5'6" barefoot.
I am 31 yrs of age. 32 in November also.
As for the night time munchies I noticed that if I exercise in the evenings I don't get them. So now my exercises are done at night. I am not following the diet plan to a tee. I am just eating what I know I can live with eating later on after I lose the weight/inches. This new week I think I am going to stay on the Start It Up program just because I am still having problems with the backward lunges. I hate doing them. Everything else I have managed to work myself up to keep up with Debbie on the video.
I try to avoid creamy foods like gravy, ranch dressing, rich foods. I eat alot of nonfat yogurt with mandarin oranges (canned) mixed in it, soups and sandwiches, turkey breasts, cheese slices, mustard, on rye or whole wheat bread. Occasionally I will indulge if I know it won't make me go over on my calories.
I try to keep my calories around 1500. After my workout I should be burning about 300 calories therefore leaving my at 1200 calories for the day. The day I didn't workout I kept my calories at around 1200.
Today I had:
2 packets of Oatmeal (the maple brown sugar flavor) 160 cal
2 slices of rye bread 220 cal
6 slices of turkey breast 90 cal
1 slice of cheese 60 cal
mustard 0 cal
nonfat yogurt 80 cal
one can of mandarin oranges 200 cal
banana 199 cal
slice of lasagna 320 cal
garlic/cheese bread 180 cal
a little over 8 glasses of water. (It isn't good to drink too much water from what I have been told. I told my nutrionist when I went to see her that I had been drinking a gallon a day and she said that was too much water.)
All of that came out to 1509 calories. I did the 25 minute workout (SIU) According to Debbie Siebers I am burning 300 calories from it. I substitute the backward lunges with jogging in place. Total calories today was 1209.
You also burn calories here and there throughout the day doing housework, if you job has youon your feet all day long, grocery shopping, and more. Have you ever gone to fitday.com? I recommend it because it helps you keep up with how many calories you are taking in and how many you are burning. I know it has helped me. I don't use it religously but I do like going there to look things up.
Have you started your video yet? That is great you are getting your thyroid tested. I am so glad i did because I would have never known what was causing my to hang on to all this extra weight after having my second child. You just can't give up.
That sounds like a plan.

Don't buy foods that you know will kill your diet. Like ice cream. My family loves ice cream but I don't buy it unless it is in an individual package for them only. I have never been a chip fan so I don't have to worry about those. I don't drink soft drinks either. Also are eating enough calories? I know my diet isn't that perfect either but I can only change it a little at a time. If I tried changing it overnight I would fail with my diet. I used to have a big craving for chocolate anything. Cake was my weakness. I have noticed that I don't really care much for sweets now like I used to and I have not been doing this for long. I read that when you start eating well and exercising your body gets rid of those junk food cravings. I went to Wal Mart yesterday and was able to buy my girls their happy meals at McDonald's without ordering for myself or craving for their food. It felt good.

That is great! I need to remind myself to be patient. It does take time. I viewed the Ramp It Up video and it looked like it could kick my butt so I am definately going to stay with the Start It Up another week. The only thing I am worried about is getting bored with it. I am hoping that doesn't happen. My little girls try doing the video with me and it helps it go by faster for me. I have been pretty sick so I didn't do it yesterday. I plan on doing it tonight about an hour after I eat dinner. We can do it! Just remember there will be days that are better than others but we have to continue to push ourselves to do it!

I could have done better but I didn't do the exercises everyday. Hopefully this new week will be better for me. I still had some results although I did gain some weight my clothes are still fitting better. PMS is setting in and I normally gain weight around this time each month.

So far so good. I am still working out. I am not doing it everyday like it says to do but on the days I do it I add the Core Secrets workout (25min) to it also. I will post my results this weekend.

Hey TX-
Thought id check in-say hi..i started weight watchers-i signed up this Sat..
so im on day 4..so far-this seems doable-im a little over the pts-but still w/in the 5 xtra pts per day..trying to change some bad habits-i bought low cal/fat snacks/and have been eating whole grains-still having a tough time stopping my half/half-in the coffee..lol..non fat just doesn't cut it-but..i just got some simply smart nonfat creamer-cut it w/ a teaspoon of real stuff-and its ok..
How is slim in 6 going?
I kinda blew it off-lately-walking 45-min a day..but gotta start it up again..
Wanna get the eating in check first-so i can augment the diet w/ exercise..
How are you doing?
any new results-?
hope to hear from ya..and hope you are doing well...
peace..
